Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other Specific Learning Disabilities (SpLDs)


Swansea University provides additional support for students with Specific Learning Difficulties in terms of accessing learning, learning support and fair treatment in assessments. The University’s Policy on Specific Learning Difficulties provides a clear framework, and the Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties: A document on Good Practice, including Marking Guidelines provide an approach for staff in terms of considerations during assessment marking, where students’ work is clearly identified through the use of a virtual ‘sticker’ to ensure staff are applying appropriate marking guidance.
