5. Annual Module Review (Semester 1)

Please upload the Module Review forms for your programme.  Reflect overall on the performance of the modules for this programme.

Subject Areas are invited to:

  • Reflect on actions arising from Module Review
  • Analyse module performance trends across the subject area using the ARQUE report
  • Reflect on changes and developments at module level and the impact of this on the subject area as a whole
  • Reflect on module feedback

 

6. Student Profile, Admissions, Enrolment and Induction

Please refer to the Enrolment Report when completing this section.

Subject Areas are invited to:

  • Analyse their student profile (please consider students with protected characteristics and those from a low participation postcode (WIMD bottom two quintiles or POLAR 4)
  • Reflect on student diversity within the Subject Area
  • Refer to recruitment trends over time using the Enrolments Report
  • Reflect on the design of student induction and the value students place in it

 

7. Student Engagement with Learning and Teaching

Please refer to the Progression, Retention and Tariff Reports when completing this section.

Subject Areas are invited to:

  • Analyse progression rates using the Progression Report and the number of supplementary exams/deferrals students require
  • Reflect on retention rates (withdrawals and suspensions) using the Retention Report
  • Reflect on student attendance for core and compulsory modules
  • Reflect on the standard of applicants coming into their programmes using the Tariff Report
  • Reflect on student feedback in the area of Teaching Quality and Academic Support
  • Consider how students are supported to improve their engagement with the programme (e.g. how academic skills are embedded in the curriculum)

 

8. Employability and Graduate Outcomes

Please refer to the Graduate Outcomes Data/DLHE Report and Degree Outcomes data when completing this section.

Subject Areas are invited to:

  • Reflect on the numbers of good honours degrees (2:1, 1st) awarded (this data is available from Intranet or on request from quality@swansea.ac.uk)
  • Analyse the destination of graduates using the Graduate Outcomes/DLHE report
  • Reflect on student feedback in the area of Employment and Further Study
  • The Subject Area’s overall performance in terms of employability, in particular for students entering highly skilled employment following graduation.
  • How is employability currently embedded into your curriculum?
  • How do you intend to drive forward employability in your subject area?

  • Further information on the local/subject context which may impact on overall results.
