An Overview of Collaborative Partnership Development, Management and Review

Developing a new programme with a collaborative partner follows largely the same route as any other new programme. The main difference is that in addition to the scrutiny and approval of the academic programme it has another section focusing on the review and approval of the partner(s). Depending on the nature of collaboration, this may involve multiple internal stakeholders. Academic Quality Services may work closely with the Academic Partnerships Department (APD), the International Development Office (IDO), Research, Engagement and Innovation Services (REIS) and the University’s Legal Services Team to support Faculties and Schools in the development, approval and review of collaborative partnerships. Each of these stakeholders may hold a unique responsibility for particular stage/s of the development process. For more detail on division of responsibilities of stakeholders please see our FAQ section.
